Welsh Cakes

Residents made 2 different batches of Welsh Cakes.

Our Welsh speaking resident Tom kindly translated a Welsh recipe which Stuart adapted to make them more friendly for diabetic residents such as himself.

Dorothy used her mother’s recipe recalling from memory and produced over 25 Welsh Cakes which the residents enjoyed with a hot drink in the afternoon.

Of course staff had to try her recipe and everyone commented how delicious they were.
