All Aboard! Bryn-Yr-Haul Residents Enjoy Cruise Ship Adventures Around the Mediterranean

Residents at Bryn-Yr-Haul Care Home in Mold have been setting sail on a series of imaginative cruise ship experiences—bringing the excitement of travel right to their doorstep.

So far, the care home has hosted five themed cruises, including virtual visits to Greece, Italy, and Spain. The dining room and communal areas had destination-themed decorations, music, and traditional foods.

Adding a creative twist, each resident received a personalised “passport” to use during their travels. These fun, custom-made passports became a talking point, helping to make the experience feel all the more real and engaging.

As part of the cruise days, residents also enjoyed a mock duty-free shopping experience—an extra touch that brought smiles and sparked memories of holidays past.
